Quang Ngai launches the movement "Transport culture with river peace"

On August 6, at Nuoc Trong Reservoir (Son Ha district), Quang Ngai province held a ceremony to launch the movement "Transport culture with river peace" in 2022. 
The movement aims to update knowledge, change behaviors of local people and boat drivers operating in river areas, wharfs and boats along Quang Ngai province to avoid risks and accidents.
In recent years, Quang Ngai province has not had any water traffic accidents, but the situation of violations of order and safety of inland waterway traffic still recurs with very high risks of accidents.
Quang Ngai province currently has 12 inland waterways, namely Sa Ky-Ly Son, Big Island-Be Island (Ly Son) and 10 routes on the bed of Dak Drinh hydropower reservoir, Son Tay district.
Particularly in the mountainous district of Son Ha, there are 07 wharfs operating regularly, especially Nuoc Trong Reservoir has nearly 100 boats operating to serve the travel needs of teachers, students and local people.
At the launching ceremony, Quang Ngai province presented 500 lifebuoys to students, boatmen and people living and working on reservoirs and hydroelectric power stations in Son Ha district who had to go by boat during the rainy and stormy season.
