Ly Son district organizes the Four Spirits Traditional Boat Racing

On April 24, the Ly Son District People’s Committee organized the Four Spirits Traditional Boat Racing, attracting thousands of locals and tourists.. 
The Festival has been a special cultural feature of the people of Ly Son island for many generations.
The festival is held to pray for good weather, bumper crops, and peace. It is also meant to pay tribute to ancestors who explored this land, as well as the Hoang Sa flotilla that planted sovereignty markers on Vietnam's Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes in the East Vietnam Sea.
The Festival has been recognized as Vietnam's national intangible cultural heritage since 2021.
It was held as part of Quang Ngai’s Tourism Week 2024.
