Zhi Shan Foundation: additional support for lunches and supplies for pupils in Tra Bong district

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just approved the program of additional support for lunches and supplies for kindergarten children and elementary school pupils in Tra Bong district in the period of 2024-2025 sponsored by Zhi Shan Foundation. 
The program will be implemented from January 2024 to December 2025 in communes of Son Tra and Tra Hiep, Tra Bong mountainous district, Quang Ngai province.
The Program's objectives are to improve health status and reduce malnutrition rates for preschool children and elementary school students of school age, increase the use of school health care and nutrition services for children and pupils in ethnic minority areas. The Program will also facilitate and improve understanding of benefits from participating in health care support programs. Furthermore, it will increase responsibility, raise health awareness, reduce diseases for children, and improve parenting skills and knowledge for parents.
The total aid capital of the program is about 729 million VND, equivalent to 30,375 USD.
Accordingly, the provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs is responsible for directing the Provincial Children's Protection Fund to organize, deploy and coordinate with sponsors, relevant agencies and units to plan reception, deploy the Program in accordance with regulations, the right beneficiaries and objectives of the Program, ensuring security and social order.
