Launching Workers’ Month in 2024

On the morning of April 26, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Labor Confederation, the Authority of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks jointly organized the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month 2024. 
Quang Ngai trade unions at all levels will organize a series of activities such as: honoring union members, workers, good workers, typical business owners with many initiatives, creativity, and achievements in labor, production, and business.
They will also organize the program "Healthy to work and produce"; praise workers, good laborers, and typical business owners; organize health care days, providing free medicine to workers and laborers, and implementing many welfare programs for union members and workers.
Speaking at the Launching Ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Tran Hoang Tuan praised and recognized the achievements of the Trade Union, departments, socio-political organizations, localities and workers in the province in recent years, making an important contribution to the overall development of the province.
He requested the province's trade unions at all levels to organize emulation movements,and perform well the role of representative to protect the legal and legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. Additionally, they should actively perfect labor policies and laws, regularly pay attention to improve the lives of workers, and promptly resolve difficulties.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also directed that departments, socio-political organizations, and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities continue to strengthen propaganda and dissemination of knowledge and laws on occupational safety and hygiene.
Also, they need to focus on inspection and examination of compliance with OSH regulations of businesses in the area, especially in areas with high risks of occupational accidents and serious incidents.
Businesses and employers should strengthen the implementation of occupational safety and hygiene, and focus on self-inspection activities. In addition, they are requested to proactively control and prevent dangerous and harmful factors at enterprises, prevent labor accidents, and organize OSH training for workers.
