To prepare conditions for the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities Delegates in 2024

On March 26, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Phien chaired the meeting on the preparation work for the 4th Ethnic Minorities Delegates Congresses at district and provincial levels in 2024.

As planned, the Congress will be held at provincial and district levels in Ba To, Minh Long, Son Ha, Son Tay and Tra Bong with the number of 250 delegates attending the district-level congress per district.

The Congresses will be completed before June 30, 2024.

For other districts that are not eligible to organize district-level ethnic minority congresses such as Binh Son, Tu Nghia, Nghia Hanh, Chairman of People's Committees of districts will organize conferences with the Fatherland Front Committee, departments, sectors, and unions of the district and representatives of leaders of communes, wards and towns where ethnic minorities people live.

The 4th Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities Delegates in 2024 is expected to take place in October 2024 with a total number of official delegates attending the Congress of about 250.

According to the Provincial Committee for Ethnic Minorities, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has issued the Plan to organize the Congresses and  Decision to establish the Congress Steering Committee.

The Congress Steering Committee issued decisions to establish the Congress Organizing Committee, subcommittees to assist the Congress Organizing Committee, and announced the allocation of the official delegates for the provincial Congress.

For the district-level Congresses, localities are implementing related preparation works and guiding communes to select delegates for attending the district-level Congresses.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Phien, Head of the Steering Committee of the 4th Provincial Ethnic Minority Congress in 2024 stressed this is an important political event of the province, aiming to promote the spirit of solidarity among ethnic minorities in the province.

Phien requested the Provincial Committee for Ethnic Minorities, departments and localities to urgently review and carefully prepare relevant contents for the Congresses at district and provincial levels in 2024.
