Quang Ngai opens the Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2024

On April 15, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Tran Hoang Tuan, attended the Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2024 hosted by the Department of Information and Communication (DIC) at Dien Hong Youth Activity Center, Quang Ngai city. 
The Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, held annually since 2022, has been considered a festival for book-lovers, helping spread the value of books as well as the reading culture in the community.
In Quang Ngai, the Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2024 has the theme "Developing reading culture in the digital age", with many activities such as discussion and communication events with students and the eloquence contest “My Book”.
Digital technology will help promote reading culture and meet the needs of readers in the 4.0 era, the Director of the DIC said.
At the event, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan awarded Certificates of Merit from the PPC’s Chairman to collectives with outstanding achievements in implementing Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2023.
Responding to the Book and Reading Culture Day 2024, 2,500 books and 250 notebooks from different units have been donated to the Son Tra Ethnic Boarding School, Tra Bong district.
On this occasion, five bicycles were donated to students in difficult circumstances and good students at Nghia Hoa Secondary School.
The National Political Publishing House and the Quang Ngai Book Publishing Center offered 625 books worth 41 million VND to the Provincial General Library, Pham Van Dong University, University of Finance and Accountancy, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry (Quang Ngai branch).
