Industrial production situation in the first 3 months of 2024

The industrial production situation in the province in the first 3 months of 2024 has positive signs. 
Most industries in the processing and manufacturing sectors increased quite well.
The metal products industry continues to be a major contributor to the overall growth of industrial production.
Regarding industrial index production (IIP) in the first 3 months of the year, it was estimated to decrease by 0.46% over the same period last year.
The reason is that Binh Son Refinery and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company performs the 5th turnaround of Dung Quat Oil Refinery.
Some key industrial products of the province also decreased, which impacted the province's industrial production index in the first quarter of 2024.
The year-on-year decreasing products included refined products, confectionery of all kinds, garment products, wood chips of paper materials, and electricity production.
However, during the above period, some products increased over the same period in 2023.
They included steel, yarn, milk of all kinds, leather shoes, wheat starch, beer of all kinds, commercial tap water, construction stone of all kinds, commercial electricity, and chemical fertilizers.
