To review the project of supporting children with disabilities

On May 12, Quang Ngai Department of Education and Training, in collaboration with Da Nang Department of Education and Training and Hanoi National University of Education, held a workshop to review the Project of "Strengthening the capacity of the education support network for children with disabilities" in Quang Ngai and expanding the area of Da Nang city”. 
This is a cooperation project between Hanoi National University of Education and CBM Organization (Germany).
The Project aims to promote a network of professionals and teachers supporting inclusive education for people with disabilities in Quang Ngai province and Da Nang City.
In the past 5 years (2017 - 2021), the Project has facilitated the construction and development of an education support network for children, especially students with disabilities.
In Quang Ngai, the project has fostered and enhanced the professional capacity of more than 200 teachers and staffs at support centers and specialized schools.
More than 3,000 turns of children with disabilities were supported and studied in an inclusive education environment.
05 departments are established to support the development of career-oriented education, equipped and implemented effective support for children with disabilities in preschool and primary schools.
The network of teachers and support staffs operates effectively at 81 schools, 454 teachers, 469 students at preschools and primary schools in Binh Son district, Quang Ngai city and one number of schools outside the project.
The project also trained more than 40 core teachers who are the focal point of the support network.
There are more than 1,000 turns of administrators and teachers equipped with skills to teach and support children with disabilities.
Parents of children with disabilities are also mobilized to participate in training activities, raising awareness and educational capacity for children with disabilities.
