Draft Decree on compensation, support, resettlement and land prices

On May 8th, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha chaired an online meeting with ministries, central agencies and 63 provinces and cities to comment on the development of a Decree on compensation and support, resettlement when land is recovered by the State.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien and leaders of departments and localities attended the meeting.

As reported at the meeting, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment developed the Draft Decree on compensation, support and resettlement when land is recovered by the State and the draft Decree regulating land prices.

The Ministry has established a Drafting Board, and the Editorial Team to edit and post the draft Decrees on the Portal of the Government and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, to collect wide opinions of organizations and individuals.

A the same time, it organized conferences to collect opinions in regions and send documents to collect opinions of ministries and central agencies, 63 provinces, and cities.

The draft Decree on compensation, support and resettlement when land is recovered by the State includes 3 Chapters and 49 Articles, detailing a number of articles and clauses of the 2024 Land Law on compensation, support and resettlement when land is recovered by the State. 

The draft Decree regulating land prices includes 6 Chapters and 44 Articles, stipulating land valuation methods.

At the conference, ministries, localities and experts discussed and commented directly on articles and clauses of the draft Decrees.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha acknowledged and highly appreciated the comments of ministries, localities and experts attending the meeting.

Ha assigned the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Drafting Board and the Editorial Team to fully note down the comments of delegates to soon develop and complete the draft Decrees. 

The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that provinces and cities should stick to reality, based on obstacles in the process of organizing the work of compensation and site clearance of works and projects in their localities.

They should continually comment on the contents of the draft Decree to contribute to improving efficiency and feasibility of the Decree after its issuance, ensuring consistency in implementation.
