Strengthening the prevention of hand, foot and mouth disease

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a document directing the provincial departments, functional sectors, socio-political organizations and People's Committees of districts, town and city to strengthen the prevention of hand, foot and mouth disease in the province area. 
Accordingly, agencies, units and localities are proactive in disseminating, implementing and coordinating with the Health sector to strengthen the prevention and control of hand, foot and mouth disease in the province according to the direction of the Ministry of Health in the Official Dispatch 2597/BYT-DP.
The Department of Health was assigned to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with other agencies, units and localities in reviewing and advising the Provincial People's Committee to direct the implementation of the contents.
According to the Official Letter 2597/BYT-DP, the Department of Health is responsible for closely monitoring the epidemic situation, promptly detecting newly arising outbreaks, zoning and thoroughly handling outbreaks as soon as they are detected; strengthening mobile anti-epidemic teams, mobile emergency teams; verify, evaluate, handle outbreaks and support lower levels in outbreak control, emergency and treatment when necessary.
