Strengthening the issuance of health insurance cards for the elderly and people with disabilities

Accordingly, in order to ensure that 100% of the elderly and people with disabilities have health insurance cards, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs requests the People's Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities to focus on strengthening the propaganda and raising the number of people with disabilities raise awareness of Party committees and authorities at all levels about laws and policies towards the elderly and people with disabilities; mobilize people to participate in health insurance and social insurance.

Functional agencies of provinces and cities review the number of elderly and disabled people who do not have health insurance cards; have solutions to ensure the payment of health insurance premiums for the elderly and disabled in accordance with the law on health insurance.

People's Committees of provinces and cities pay attention and implement; report on the implementation results to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to summarize and report to the Prime Minister.
