Quang Ngai launches swimming training for children

On June 04, at Dien Hong Swimming Pool, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a launching ceremony to practice swimming to prevent children from drowning in Quang Ngai province in 2023. 
The event was held in response to the Action Month for Children 2023, meanwhile to propagandize and mobilize children to practice sports to improve health.
In recent years, the prevention and control of accidents, injuries and drownings for pupils and children in the province has been concerned by all levels, authorities, unions and the whole people. However, drowning among students and children has still occured, especially in the rainy season and summer.
Therefore, the practice swimming and equipping children with knowledge and skills to prevent drowning is a necessary solution to reduce drowning and improve public health in general and children in particular in Quang Ngai province.
At the ceremony, the athletes of the Provincial sports training and competition Center demonstrated 200m swimming skills with basic swimming styles. Athletes of primary and secondary schools also attended the 200m swimming contend.
