A program to support nutritious food for preschool children in mountainous districts

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has recently issued Decision No. 1087/QD-UBND approving the receipt of the program of nutritional food for preschool children in mountainous districts of Quang Ngai province in the period of 2023 - 2024, which is sponsored by the Children of Vietnam. 
The program will be implemented in 02 years (from 2023 to 2024), in 05 mountainous districts of Quang Ngai province, with a total budget of more than 5.9 billion VND (equivalent to 258,205 USD), of which the aid non-refundable is more than 5.7 billion VND.
The objective of the Program is to help improve the health status and reduce the rate of malnutrition among preschool children of school age from 03 to 05 years old; increase use of school nutrition and health care services in 05 mountainous districts.
It will also contribute to ensuring children's right to development and participation; improve child malnutrition; improve children's health and disease status; facilitate and improve understanding of benefits from participating in the program of nutritious food and regular exercise and health care every day; strengthen responsibility, raise health awareness, and screen children for diseases; improve parenting skills and knowledge.
The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs directs the Provincial Children's Fund to be responsible for organizing, implementing and coordinating with sponsoring units, relevant agencies and units in planning to receive and deploy The program.
