200 poor patients with cleft lips, cleft palates examined

On 6 January, the Provincial Children Support Fund in collaboration with Resurge International launched a free surgery for poor and disabled patients in the province.
Accordingly, 20 doctors of Resurge International from the United States directly examined and screened for more than 200 poor patients who have cleft lips, cleft palates and sticky fingers.
As planned, the delegation will conduct surgery for 70 cases in the period of 08 – 18 January at the Quang Ngai Provincial Hospital of Maternity and Children.
In addition to free medical examination and surgery, patients are also provided with accommodation and travel expenses during the surgery procedure.
It is known that Resurge International has cooperated with the Provincial Children Support Fund since 1999. Resurge International organizes free surgeries for patients with cleft lips and cleft palates, sticky fingers with 70 - 100 cases per year.
