1,500 people in Quang Ngai province are provided free medical care by Korean doctors

The 12th medical service this year will be implemented in five days between January 9th and 13th featuring two main activities: medical examination for 1,500 local people and medical equipment donation for the Quang Ngai Hospital for Women & Children with a total value of 1.2 billion VND.

The health care will be conducted by 17 CAU’s doctors from Korea focusing on pediatrics, internal medicine and orthopedic trauma.

Taking place paralelly with the medical care, Doosan Vina, CAU and Community Chest of Korea will also donate a colposcope (HD Camera) made in the US and a multi-function hydraulic table from Poland worth over 554 million VND for Quang Ngai Hospital for Women and Children on the first day of the program, January 09, 2023.

From 2018 up to now, Doosan Vina and CAU have donated many medical equipment to Quang Ngai Hospital for Women and Children with a total value of nearly 5,9 billion VND.

The medical service was first held in 2009 by Doosan Vina in coordination with Chung Ang University Hospital has reached its 12th year after a 2-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

So far, this annual program has provided health care for more than 26,500 local people of Quang Ngai province and Nui Thanh district of Quang Nam province.

These included 22 children that were brought to Korea for heart, malformations and cleft palate surgeries and 85 elderly were surgeried in cataract at the local hospitals.
