Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang has just signed a decision approving a master plan for information and communications infrastructure for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

In particular, the plan states that by 2025, Viet Nam will be among the 20 leading countries in the world in converting the internet to IPv6.

Broadband telecommunications networks ensure large capacity, high speed, and modern technology. The Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure is widely integrated to ensure harmonious development, serving digital transformation, digital Government, digital economy, digital society, security, and defense.

Besides, Viet Nam strives by 2025 to have 100 percent of high-tech parks, concentrated information technology parks, research, development and innovation centres able to access the internet with a minimum speed of lGb/s; deploy and invest in 2-4 additional international telecommunications cable lines.

Also, according to this plan, by 2025, Viet Nam will form and deploy national data centres as infrastructure to serve national databases and other shared databases according to the provisions of the law.

The country will form at least three national multi-purpose and multi-purpose data centre clusters at the regional level.

One hundred percent of Government agencies will use the cloud computing ecosystem to serve the digital Government, and 70 percent of Vietnamese businesses use cloud computing services provided by domestic companies.

Also, the Government stated that the development of the information technology industry is based on digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, cloud computing, internet of things...

The digital technology industry develops rapidly and sustainably with a focus on shifting from assembling and processing to creating "made in Viet Nam" electronic, telecommunications, and information technology products and services, contributing to creating new development space for the country.

Postal network planning has redundancy to ensure an intact, uninterrupted supply chain in any emergency. Viet Nam strives to build 3-5 regional postal centres nationwide by 2030. The average exploitation capacity of the Postal Center reaches over 15,750 tons of postal items/day.

Regional Postal Centers have an average capacity of over 5,000 tons of postal items/day.
