Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan becomes Acting President from March 21 following Vo Van Thuong's exit from the role.
She will hold the position until the National Assembly appoints a new President.
Vo was born in on January 8, 1970 in Thoi Son commune, Tinh Bien district of the Southern province of An Giang.
She was elected as Vice President of Viet Nam at the 11th working session of the 14th National Assembly on April 6, 2021.
Vo served as Acting President from January 2023 to March 2023 following Nguyen Xuan Phuc's exit from the role.
