To strengthen further biodiversity protection

The Provincial People's Committee has recently issued the plan of implementing the Decision No. 1623/QD-TTg dated December 27, 2022 of the Prime Minister approving the National strategy for biodiversity until 2030 and vision to 2050. 
Targets
The plan’s objective is to organize the effective implementation of the National Strategy on Biodiversity to 2030, with a vision to 2050; create strong change in awareness and sense of responsibility of agencies and organizations, individuals in the observance of the law on biodiversity, contributing to the conservation of ecosystems, fauna, flora, genetic resources...
At the same time, it will improve the system of policies and laws on crime prevention and control; promptly detect and strictly handle criminal acts and violations in biodiversity protection, contributing to ensuring national security, social order and safety and socio-economic development.
In addition, it will build qualified, capable and responsible staffs to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation; modernize material and technical foundations to meet the requirements of crime prevention and control as well as biodiversity protection.
Tasks
By 2030, the topic of biodiversity protection will be turned into regular communication activities in the mass media and education at schools.
Strictly control wild animal breeding activities; control and prevent epidemics, ensure that the import of wild animals and plants does not adversely affect biodiversity and human health;
Strictly handle acts of illegally catching, transporting and trading in rare and precious plant and animal species.
Strive for 100% of full-time staffs, who directly implement the work of biodiversity protection, are trained.
Build and strengthen a team of appraisers and staff engaged in valuation in this field to ensure biodiversity protection.
Increase investment in necessary facilities, equipment, means and techniques for the prevention and combat of crimes and crime-related violations
Focus on investing in building a modern information inspection, analysis and processing system to serve the prevention, detection and investigation of crimes.
In addition, maintain and expand international cooperation in biodiversity protection; regularly coordinate with neighboring provinces in biodiversity protection.
