To provide free surgery for children with cleft lip and palate

From May 25- 28, the provincial Maternity – Children Hospital in collaboration with the Central Dentomaxillofacial Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City organized free medical examination and surgery for children with cleft lip and cleft palate.
This is the 06th time that the provincial Maternity-Children Hospital organizes this meaningful program with the full donation of the Smile Train NGO.
On May 25, the hospital provided health examination for 29 children and divided into 2 operations. Phase 1 will be taken place in 02 days 27 and 28 May, providing surgeries for 09 children with enough health condition for surgery. Phase 2 will be taken place in July.
On this occasion, experts of Ho Chi Minh City Central Dentomaxillofacial Hospital will complete the transfer of cleft lip and palate surgery techniques to the doctors at the provincial Maternity-Children Hospital. With this technique, children with cleft lip - palate will be treated comprehensively.
This health activity in Quang Ngai has become an annual program, reducing travel time costs for patients in the province, improving treatment efficiency.
