To increase the production of high-quality forest tree varieties

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development shall direct its affiliated agencies and units to well perform the functions of inspection and state management of forest plant variety work in the province. 

They are asked to organize propaganda and encourage organizations and individuals in the area to plant forests with high-quality seedlings, apply the correct technical processes of planting, caring for forests and trading large timber in order to improve the productivity and value of planted forests in the province. 

In 2024, they will introduce and call on enterprises (organizations and individuals) to invest in building a center for producing high-quality forest tree varieties (tissue culture), with a minimum scale of producing 01 million trees / year to serve the needs of planting gardens of propagation materials and aiming to serve afforestation in the province.

At the same time, the Department will coordinate with the Departments of Planning and Investment, Finance, Science and Technology and related agencies and units in researching, advising, encouraging and creating favorable conditions for organizations and individuals in the province to establish and upgrade tissue culture establishments for industrial-scale seedling production to lower the cost of seedlings for planting forest.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to:

• Propagate to forest owners to be well aware of the importance of good varieties, high-quality forest plant varieties and proper cultivation of technical processes.
• Promote the introduction of good varieties and high-quality forest plant varieties into afforestation. 
• Strengthen the direction and inspection of establishments producing forest plant varieties in the area under their management.
• Resolutely handle cases of violations against regulations on production and trading of forest plant varieties without quality assurance or without dossiers of forest plant varieties as prescribed. 
• Continue to implement models linking production afforestation in a sustainable way in the locality.
• Guide enterprises to promote the application, link with forest owners and supply high-quality seeds to afforestation for effective and sustainable forestry development.
