The role of Dung Quat oil Refinery in energy ensure

As a factory that provides more than 30% of the domestic petroleum demand, the role of Dung Quat Refinery is shown in ensuring national energy security.

Dung Quat Oil Refinery is performing well its role in contributing to ensuring energy security for the country.

Dung Quat Oil Refinery is designed with a processing capacity of 6.5 tons of crude oil per year, corresponding to providing more than 30% of the domestic petroleum demand.

Over the years, Dung Quat Oil Refinery has always maintained operations at more than 100% capacity.

The plant increased to 110 % of capacity to continuously produce high-quality petroleum products, contributing to ensuring the petroleum supply for the country's economy.

Resolution No. 55-NQ/TW dated February 11, 2020 of the Politburo on "Strategic orientations for Vietnam's national energy development to 2030, with a vision to 2045" clearly stated the point of view "Preserving firmly ensuring national energy security is the foundation and important premise for socio-economic development. It  will prioritize fast and sustainable energy development.

At the same time, the Resolution has identified a general goal by 2030 to firmly ensure national energy security.

It will sufficiently supply stable, high-quality energy at reasonable prices for fast and sustainable socio-economic development; ensure national defense and security; improve people's living standards; and contribute to the preservation of energy ecological environment protection.
