The new school year opening ceremony 2020-2021 may be held online

Only 2 weeks left, students across the country will enter the new school year 2020-2021. However, due to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, many parents are concerned about whether the new school year will happen at the right time or not.

Recently, the representative of the Ministry of Education and Training said that they are considering organizing the new school year ceremony in the online form.

The MoET is working on scenarios to prepare for the new school year in epidemic conditions.

This year, according to the regulations of the MoET, students of preschools, high schools and continuing education will return to school as early as September 1. Schools held new school year ceremony on September 5. The 1^st semester will end before January 16; the 2^nd semester will be completed before May 25. The school year will end before May 31.

Thus, from the next school year, students are entitled to have a full summer holiday for 03 months.

Private junior schools and high schools have additional learning time of no more than 4 weeks per year, and can start the school year from August.
