The MoH calling for dengue fever prevention and control

According to the Ministry of Health, the current weather is favorable for the transmission of the disease by mosquito so dengue fever infections could spike nationwide if drastic measures to control the disease are not taken. 
Provinces and cities of Nghe An, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ben Tre, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi City reported new dengue cases weekly.
To well control and proactively prevent the spread of dengue fever, the Ministry of Health has just asked localities to focus on implementing drastic measures.
The People's Committees of provinces and cities are requested to direct their concerned authorities at all levels to speed up activities to kill larvae to once a week in high-risk areas where dengue cases were reported and twice a week in areas with a high density of mosquitoes/larvae; to provide information to and mobilize people to deploy campaigns to eradicate mosquitoes and mosquito larvae in residential areas.
The local health agencies are asked to closely monitor the epidemic situation for early detection and comprehensively deal with outbreaks as soon as they are detected; to spray anti-mosquito chemicals for 100% of households in the outbreak area.
People were advised to take steps to prevent the further spread of the disease such as cleaning their living environment and using mosquitos nets while sleeping… Those showing symptoms of dengue fever should be taken immediately to medical facilities for medical examination and treatment.
Medical examination and treatment facilities are required to well implemented the diagnosis and treatment of dengue fever and ensuring adequate means, supplies and equipment for prompt treatment to minimize fatalities.
