The Festival "Each OCOP product is a story" held in Quang Ngai

The event is a part of Quang Ngai Tourism Week 2024 (April 22 to May 4).

Attending the Festival were 11 units from 11 districts, town and city in the province. At the Festival, the participating units competed in three contents, including: the theater competition "Each OCOP product is a story", the camping competition and the culinary competition.

Mrs. Huynh Thi Suong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said, through the OCOP program, the potential and advantages of rural areas have been awakened, increasing people's income.

In addition, it also promotes sustainable development of the rural economy, strengthening the application of digital transformation and cultural values preservation.

OCOP products are products of the countryside, containing the enthusiasm and pride of the people. They also carry the mission of connecting and spreading Vietnamese cultural values.

OCOP products also conveyed humanistic stories of the region, showing the preservation and development of many traditional craft villages.

The Festival attracted the attention of people in Nghia Hanh district and neighboring localities. Through songs and stories presented at the event, OCOP products are closer to consumers and tourists.

Typical OCOP products of Quang Ngai presented at the event included Son Ha chilli, Tra Bong cinnamon, Nghia Hanh banana, Linh Phong lingzhi mushroom of Mo Duc district, Sahu salt of Duc Pho town…

The festival "Each OCOP product is a story" and the agricultural and rural community tourism space is an opportunity to promote and introduce the unique culture of OCOP products, especially traditional craft village products to tourists inside and outside province.

Curently, the province has 191 OCOP products, including 174 three-stars products and 17 four-stars products.
