In order to operate normal medical examination and treatment during social isolation, many non-public health facilities are actively implementing screening and streaming of patients, at the same time, in order to protect the health of patients and health-workers before the Covid-19 pandemic.

The provincial Department of Health has issued a written request to all non-public medical examination and treatment facilities to absolutely ensure the following conditions: distance keeping, body temperature measurement, medical declaration, patient information management, wearing facemasks, adequate facilities and materials to prevent and fight against Covid-19 epidemics. If these requirements are not met, they must temporarily stop operating until the end of April 15 and be strictly handled if they commit violations.

Dr. Trinh Quang Than - Director of Thanh Thanh Clinic said: When there are suspicious cases, we clearly ask about the travel history of patients. If there is a high epidemiological factor, we will notify to the Department of Health for further treatment. Health-workers of Thanh Thanh clinic always wear gloves, masks, splashes to prevent outbreaks when contacting with patients.

Phuc Hung Private General Hospital is currently the largest non-public health facility operating in the province with more than 300 patients visiting and treating every day. To ensure safety in the epidemic prevention, the hospital has organized a clear flow of patients.

Said by Nurse Huynh Thi Viet Thien, Phuc Hung Private General Hospital is in strict control to prevent the spread of disease. At present, all cases of cough and fever are instructed to go separate ways and examine separately with other patients.

Particularly, Minh Quang General Clinic also provides counseling and treatment by phone and online. Dr. Nguyen Pham Thi Minh Nguyet - Director of Minh Quang Clinic shared: “We strictly comply with epidemic prevention requirements such as screening, streaming, medical declaration with all patients ... In addition, I also encourage patients who are not needed when going to clinic, instead, we are willing to give advice by phone or online to help patients feel secure treatment in the days of social isolation".

Reportedly, an interdisciplinary inspection team led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh, Chief Inspector of the Department of Health organized field inspections starting from 06 April. Mr. Nguyen Thanh said, after checking, almost private medical facilities strictly follow the Department's written letters in Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control to have enough conditions to operate.

However, for a few dental clinics, there is no screening table, body temperature check or space-out seating for patients, with these violations; we forced the clinics to stop working - Mr. Thanh informed.

Currently, Quang Ngai province has 2 hospitals and 276 private clinics operating. In order to ensure the safety of epidemic prevention, there is no disease spread in these facilities, the functional branch of Department of Health will continue to organize inspection teams to strictly control epidemics safety at private health facilities across the province from now till the end of the day 15 April.
