Strengthen the management and grant of licenses to use radio frequencies and equipment for fishing vessels in the province

According to the report of the Department of Information and Communications, as of April 6, 2023, 2,943 fishing vessels have installed cruise monitoring equipment via satellite.

The Department of Information and Communications shall assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with the Regional Center for Radio Frequency III, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Provincial Border Guard Command, and the Service - Control Center Provincial administration, People's Committees of districts, towns, cities, provincial Post Offices to study and immediately implement solutions to guide and mobilize fishing boat owners to carry out procedures for licensing of using frequencies and equipment radio for satellite cruise control equipment.

They will ensure to complete the submission of applications for licenses to use radio frequencies and equipment for the above-mentioned number of fishing boats before July 30, 2023.

Heads of agencies, units and localities actively coordinate with the Department of Information and Communications in implementing assigned tasks.

At the same time, they continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the assigned tasks in Directive No. 13/CT-UBND dated July 15, 2019 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on strengthening coordination in management, granting license to use radio frequencies and equipment for fishing vessels in the province.
