The Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control has requested the Provincial Border Guard Command, Quang Ngai Maritime Port Authority, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and localities to closely update information and developments of strong winds.

They are directed to inform owners of fishing ships operating at the sea to ensure safety, strictly manage the operation of ships and boats going to the sea, proactively prohibit all ships and boats from going to the sea in the strong winds of level 6 or higher.

For the response to heavy rains that are likely to cause floods and landslides, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control in districts, towns and cities should closely monitor rainfall and flood developments in the area.

They need to promptly inform and notify people in the area to proactively take response measures.

At the same time, they should focus on propagating and guiding people, especially people in remote and high-risk areas to store food and necessities.

They are directed to inspect, review and promptly mobilize forces to organize the evacuation and relocation of households in low-lying areas, areas at high risk of flash floods, landslides, deep flooding, and areas at risk of separation to safe places.

Localities must arrange guard forces, warning signs and prohibit local residents from traveling through dangerous areas.

Department of Education and Training prepares measures to ensure the safety of students, teachers before, during and after floods, especially in highland areas and areas at risk of deep flooding and landslides.
