Quang Ngai: Timely support for people affected by Covid-19 epidemic

Along with the whole country, Quang Ngai has been timely implementing supportive policies for people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic under Resolution No. 42/NQ-CP dated 09 April 2020 and Decision No.15/2020/QĐ-TTg dated 24 April 2020 by the Government. 
As of 13 July, Quang Ngai Provincial Government allocated a total fund of over VND 256 billion to support 246,729 people affected by the Covid-19 epidemic in the province. The locatities in the province timely paid for 237,022 beneficiaries with a total fund of over VND 247,733 billion, accounting for 96.69% of the total approved budget.
Specific figures are 30,388 people with meritorious service to the country enjoying monthly preferential aids (funding VND 45.473 billion); 63,576 social protection beneficiaries receiving monthly allowance and being cared in the community (VND 95.164 billion); 142,945 people from poor and near-poor households (VND 106.982 billion), 13 employees who lose jobs but are not eligible for unemployment allowance (VND 13 million); 37 workers who do not have labour contracts and have lost their jobs (VND 37 million); 63 household businesses with revenue under VND 100 million VND per year (VND 63 million).
According to statistics of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Quang Ngai has 365,439 people supported by the Government (under the social security package of VND 62,000 billion) with an estimated budget of over VND 382 billion.
