Quang Ngai opens the Spring Job Fair 2024

The Spring Job Fair is an opportunity for businesses, vocational training institutions and workers to meet and exchange information, interview, enroll and recruit; contributing to connecting labor supply and demand, helping to stabilize and develop the labor market.

Reportedly, in 2023, Quang Ngai province created new jobs for more than 10,000 workers.

The whole province has sent 1,028 workers to work abroad under contracts, an increase of 8% over the same period in 2022.

The rate of trained workers reached nearly 63%.

Currently, businesses in Quang Ngai province need to recruit more than 14,000 workers.

A source from the Authority of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Provincial Industrial Parks said that 11 enterprises in Dung Quat EZs and Quang Ngai IPs need to recruit 9,600 job positions in 2024.

The salary depends on the job position, ranging from 5 million to 15 million VND/month or according to the agreement and related policy regimes.

Of the 9,600 job positions to be recruited, there are 3,520 positions in industries and fields such as management, design, technology, automation, operation, safety, mechanics, electricity, maintenance, office, business, and Chinese interpretation. There are also 6,080 positions for unskilled workers.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan emphasized that the impact of the global economic recession and rising inflation caused many difficulties to businesses in the province.

Many businesses make efforts to find new orders to maintain stable employment and ensure income for workers.

However, the labor and employment market in Quang Ngai province is still complicated.

The PPC’s Standing Vice Chairman requested departments and localities to focus on implementing Resolution No. 06 of the Government on labor market development.

Besides, enhance the application of information technology, digital transformation, and digitalization in recruitment; Forecasting labor demand and vocational training needs of businesses.

Tuan also asked to promote and improve the quality of sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contracts.

The PPC’s Vice Chairman asked the enterprises to implement well the policies for employees, including social insurance, unemployment insurance, wages, and union fees.

At the event, businesses have provided information about the high-income foreign labor market, creating good opportunities for the young workforce to approach, learn and equip themselves with skills, basic knowledge, ability to adapt to changes in the job market.
