Quang Ngai offers free COVID-19 testing to people in high-risk areas

On September 17, in Nghia Phu commune, Quang Ngai city, Quang Ngai province organized a free COVID-19 test for people in areas with high risk of infection in the community, aiming to create and protect the "green zone". 
All funding for testing is extracted from the COVID-19 prevention and control campaign of the province's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and other legal sources of advocacy supported by individuals, organizations and businesses.
Accordingly, about 900 people were sampled.
Noted in the morning of September 17, the organizers arranged many volunteers to assist people when they came to take samples, following with the 5K principle to avoid crowds and reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
Dr. Huynh Thi Thuan (Quang Ngai Provincial General Hospital) said that, the hospital has mobilized members of the province's young doctors club and those who have had professional experience in the field of collecting samples for testing in the previous anti-epidemic attacks. During the testing process, if a suspected case is detected, the following procedures will be implemented for handling (confirmed testing, zoning, tracing, concentrated isolation or treatment...).
Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai city Ha Hoang Viet Phuong said that, after completing the sampling in Nghia An commune, the City will continue to take samples in other areas such as Tinh Khe commune and wards of Le Hong Phong, Tran Hung Dao, Chanh Lo, Nghia Lo, Nghia Chanh (Quang Ngai city).
Along with that, the City People's Committee directed the organization to zoning and temporarily blocking the sampling areas until the official test results are informed.
Besides implementing large-scale testing in Quang Ngai city, the province also advocates for people to take the initiative in voluntary testing through screening and early detection of F0 in the community.
Currently, other localities in the province have basically controlled the epidemic, the province is focusing on prioritizing maximum resources for Quang Ngai city (red zone), towards the goal of controlling the COVID-19 epidemic within this month (September 2021).
Accordingly, the functional sector will organize testing about 2,700 samples in Quang Ngai city.
