Quang Ngai is eligible for the Covid-19 disease testing

Inspecting the facilities of Quang Ngai General Hospital, the delegation of the Nha Trang Pasteur Institute said that the Hospital has enough conditions to perform the Covid-19 disease test.
On April 20, the delegation of Parteur Nha Trang Institute conducted the site inspection at the Department of Microbiology, Quang Ngai General Hospital to consider setting up a Covid-19 disease testing team.
Mrs. Huynh Kim Mai - Deputy Head of the Immunology Microbiology Department (Pasteur Nha Trang Institute) said that the facilities at the Microbiology Department of Quang Ngai General Hospital have reached the biosecurity at level 2. This level is allowed to implement the Sars-CoV-2 screening test using molecular biology techniques.
According to Mrs. Mai, the hospital needs to find a stable supply of bio-chemicals for testing Sars-CoV-2.
Representatives of Quang Ngai General Hospital said that the Hospital would continue to invest in a high-level biosafety cabinet as well as looking for source of biological chemicals in order to conduct testing for suspected Covid-19 cases.
