Promote development of animal husbandry, poultry and aquaculture

They propagate owners of breeding farms to organize husbandry and production to ensure price stability; provide sufficient and timely information on the supply and price of pork products so producers and consumers know, avoiding the phenomenon of "hoarding goods, blowing prices" to abnormally high prices.

They support and create favorable conditions for farms and livestock households to ensure the biosafety breeding and re-grow and develop local pig herds according to regulations.

Based on the local situation and specific conditions, they will direct the development of production and husbandry of other animals, poultry and aquaculture to ensure 3 principles of biosafety, balance supply and demand and social security.

Department of Agriculture and Rural Development shall assume the prime responsibility and coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade in regularly monitoring and grasping market movements and prices of livestock and aquatic products to guide and recommend to localities and people livestock development in accordance with local conditions and market demand.

It will direct the Sub-Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine to strengthen inspection and surveillance of animal diseases, especially old outbreaks; fully prepare materials and chemicals for anti-epidemic work; Preparing vaccines for routine vaccination in 2020.

Departments, branches and members of the Steering Committee against smuggling, trade frauds and provincial counterfeit goods (Provincial Steering Committee 389) based on their functions and tasks, focus on directing the organization and coordination among agencies, functional forces and localities promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle cases of smuggling and illegal transportation of animals and animal products, especially pigs and pigs products in and out of the province.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, currently in Quang Ngai province, African swine fever has been on a sharp decline.

It is reported that African swine fever occurred in 83 communes, wards and towns in the province, including 08 districts in the city, including Son Tay, Minh Long, Tra Bong, Ba To, Duc Pho, Nghia Hanh, Mo Duc and Quang Ngai city; 34 communes in 5 districts: Binh Son, Son Tinh, Tu Nghia, Tay Tra and Son Ha.
