PPC's vice chairman Mr. Tran Phuoc Hien checked the results of trial planting of cassava varieties resistant to mosaic virus disease

On October 8, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien and leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Science and Technology, the Union of Science and Technology Associations and related agencies and units have actually checked and evaluated the results of trial planting of cassava resistant to leaf mosaic virus disease in the mountainous district of Son Ha, which has the largest cassava area in the province. 
It is reported that in the crop year 2021-2022, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has presided over and coordinated with the Relevant officials organized pilot planting 02 models of HN3 cassava varieties resistant to mosaic virus disease in Hanh Nhan commune, Nghia Hanh district and Son Cao commune, Son Ha district, on a total area of 10 hectares, each district planted 5 hectares.
Through model implementation results, cassava plants grow and develop well.
Through the actual test and the results of the model implementation, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien was delighted with the initial results of the implementation model.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee asked the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to guide the People's Committees of Son Ha and Nghia Hanh districts to direct district-level specialized agencies to make plans to collect HN3 cassava cuttings and distribute to farmers produced in the cassava crop year 2022 - 2023 in order to contribute to overcoming the shortage of cassava cuttings in the province.
In particular, it is particularly important to note that the seed allocation and production organization must be controlled by specialized agencies, propagated to farmers to understand and agree to participate, and well implement technical solutions.
At the same time, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development was assigned to continue to coordinate with the District People's Committee in pilot production to monitor the adaptability of cassava variety HN3 in actual production conditions in localities in the province in the crop year 2022- 2023.
