PPC's chairman urges to kick off the progress of auctioning land use rights and collecting land use fees

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Van Minh emphasized that although the provincial leaders have been proactive and made efforts to direct departments, branches and localities to actively carry out the task of collecting land use fees right from the beginning of the year, the progress of collecting fees has been slow.

So far, land use fee collection progress has only reached 25% of the plan, reaching about 415 out of 1,645 billion VND as planned.

He asked them to make a clear plan to successfully organize auctions and collect land use fees for projects in 2024 and the following years.

For projects expected to collect land use fees according to the 2023 plan, it is necessary to base on actual conditions, legal documents, and procedures to build plans close to reality and collect land use fees in accordance with the law.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Van Minh agreed to adjust the plan of the Provincial People's Committee, and requiring relevant departments and branches to promptly implement procedures to organize auctions to collect land use fees of some projects in fields of eco-tourism, resident resettlement.

According to a report from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, to date, 3 projects have been successfully auctioned, with a total value of more than 414.6 billion VND.

There are 3 projects that have established auction notification procedures but the auction was unsuccessful.

Some projects' implementation progress is slow compared to the plan assigned by the Provincial People's Committee.
