Plan to support the development of aquaculture in the reservoirs of irrigation and hydroelectricity

The goal of the Plan is to encourage and support the development of aquaculture on the reservoir bed for irrigation and hydropower in accordance with the planning and development of fisheries.

It aims at creating livelihoods, jobs and increasing incomes for people, and meet multiple goals in the use of water reservoirs, contributing to the development of the province's agricultural sector.

Objects of aquaculture include: carp, drifting fish, bream, carp, sardines, trout, goby, eel, black carp, ...

Supported subjects are Cooperatives, Cooperative Groups engaged in aquaculture activities, Community organizations that have been recognized and assigned management rights in the protection of aquatic resources in accordance with regulations.

Regarding support conditions, cooperatives, cooperative groups, community organizations have a plan for the protection and rational exploitation of aquatic resources.

Each organization is only supported once in 5 years.

They will receive a support level of 100% of the cost of buying breeding stock.

It is expected that the State Budget will support from 5 to 10 lakes and dams annually, depending on the number of cooperatives, cooperative groups, community organizations that are recognized, assigned the right to manage aquatic resources or are approved by the State budget aquaculture license.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to guide the Cooperatives, Cooperative Groups, and Community Organizations to manage in the protection of aquatic resources.

It will guide the development of aquaculture development plans in the direction of multi-purposes, guiding the implementation of regulations on the protection of resources in reservoirs, and at the same time implementing plans to balance water sources while ensuring adequate service for agricultural production as well as aquaculture in the reservoir.
