Organize activities to respond to the campaign to make the world cleaner in 2022

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies, units and localities to organize activities in response to the campaign to make the world cleaner in 2022 under the theme recommendation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. 
The campaign to make the world cleaner is initiated by Australia, launched by the United Nations Environment Program on a global scale since 1993 (held periodically on the 3rd week of September every year) and has become a important annual international environmental event, attracting the participation of hundreds of countries and millions of people globally through key activities on environmental protection and sustainable development.
Vietnam has participated in the campaign to make the world cleaner since 1994 with many specific and practical activities.
The theme of the 2022 campaign "Working together to change the world" is a continuation of the theme of the 2021 Campaign and continues to improve the effectiveness of environmental protection, towards the goal of sustainable development.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment proposed that localities organize activities to respond to the campaign to make the world cleaner in 2022 with specific activities.
It is recommended that localities and units propagate and organize the implementation of the provisions of the Law on Environmental Protection in 2020 and detailed documents guiding the implementation of the Law, focusing on new regulations integrating the contents of the Law on Environmental Protection as well as content on circular economy, green economy, sustainable development in the formulation and implementation of socio-economic development plans of localities and agencies.
They strictly control and monitor areas where many waste sources are concentrated in industrial parks, industrial clusters, craft villages, river basins, hot spots for environmental pollution, etc.
