More than 46.5 billion VND to support fishing

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has recently signed Decision 1229/QD-UBND allocating more than 46.5 billion VND to encourage fishing, aquaculture and fishing services. 
It was made according to Decision No. 48/2010/QD-TTg dated 13/7/2010 of the Prime Minister (phase 1/2023).
Of the total, more than 45.8 billion VND will be allocated to 413 fishing vessel owners for supporting fuel cost. An amount of 636,582 million VND will be allocated to the support of hull insurance and crew insurance for 119 fishing vessels.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to be responsible for allocating the support funds according to regulations.
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development was assigned to be responsible for the accuracy of data, supporting documents, monitoring, checking and urging the implementation of supporting fishermen, ensuring compliance with regulations.
State treasuries of concerned districts, towns and cities shall publicize the schedule of granting support money to fishermen.
They are requested to summarize reports on the results of allocating support funds to the Quang Ngai State Treasury and the district-level People's Committees.
