Compared to 2018, the number of traffic accidents was 5.06%, the number of deaths decreased by 7.15% and the number of injured people decreased by 6.42%.
In 2019, the country had new registrations of more than 400,000 cars, over 3.5 million motorcycles and nearly 200,000 electric motorcycles, bringing the total number of registered vehicles at the police to over 4.3 million.
According to the assessment of the National Traffic Safety Committee, despite the outstanding results, the traffic safety situation in the year is still complicated.
