The targets by 2025

The plan sets out specific targets in 2025, the average growth rate of the province's agricultural sector will reach 4-5%/year; the proportion of livestock in agriculture is about 48 - 50%; average production value per hectare of agricultural land is 100 million VND.

The growth rate of labor productivity in agriculture, forestry and fishery will reach an average of 7.0 to 8.0%/year; the proportion of agricultural laborers in total social labor is less than 37%.

The rate of value of agricultural, forestry and fishery products produced in the form of cooperation and association will reach more than 3%; newly established 30-40 cooperatives, 01 union of cooperatives; over 70 cooperatives operate effectively; over 5% of cooperatives apply high technology in the field of agriculture; more than 15% of agricultural cooperatives participate in value chain linkages.

75% of the rural population has access to clean water; 100% of the rural population has access to hygienic water; keep the forest cover rate stable at 52%.

Striving to 2025, there will be 120 communes meeting new rural standards and 07 districts, towns and cities will meet the standards and complete the tasks of new rural construction service, in which at least 01 district meets the newly-advanced rural standards.

Over 65% of total domestic solid waste generated in rural areas is collected and treated to meet environmental protection requirements; make the most of organic waste for reuse, recycling, composting or self-processing at the household into compost for on-site use.

The average income of people is more than 48 million VND/person/year for communes with special difficulties and safe zones and more than 53 million VND/person/year for rural areas.

The targets by 2030

By 2030, the average growth rate of agriculture, forestry and fishery will be about 4%/year, the productivity growth rate of agricultural, forestry and fishery workers will reach over 5%/year on average.

80% of the rural population has access to clean water; 100% of the rural population has access to hygienic water.

The rate of multidimensionally poor households in rural areas will decrease on average by 1-1.5%/year.

The proportion of agricultural laborers in the total number of social workers will decrease to less than 20%, the rate of trained agricultural workers will reach over 70%.

Over 85% of communes will meet new rural standards, of which 50% of communes will achieve new and improved rural standards.

More than 60% of district-level units will meet new rural standards, of which 30% of district-level units will be recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards;...

Tasks set forth

In order to achieve the above goal, the plan to assign specific tasks to each relevant department and branch.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development needs to effectively implement the Plan on restructuring the agricultural sector to 2025 in Quang Ngai province.

It will develop agriculture in the direction of modernity, with concentrated, large-scale commodity cultivation, ensuring food safety on the basis of advanced science and technology application, digital transformation, mechanization, and automation chemical.

It will build a new rural area to develop comprehensively and sustainably in association with urbanization, ensuring the substantive, in-depth, effective, for the benefit of the people; production organization associated with developing specific raw material areas, standardizing processes, standards and developing OCOP products according to the value chain, etc.

The Department of Planning and Investment strongly mobilizes and effectively uses resources from all economic sectors participating in investment and development of agricultural and rural infrastructure.

It will increase state budget investment in the 2021-2030 period for agriculture and rural areas at least twice as much as in the 2011-2020 period.

Department of Science and Technology supports the establishment of technology incubators, start-up centers, innovation investment funds, start-ups in agriculture and rural areas.

It will strongly promote innovation activities, science - technology really becomes an important driving force in agricultural and rural development.

Department of Industry and Trade focuses on implementing solutions to support, solve difficulties and problems, improve the quality and efficiency of production and business of enterprises.
