GIBTK supported children with congenital heart disease and people with mobility disabilities in Quang Ngai

As reported, in the period 2016 - 2021, Giving it Back to Kids - GIBTK donated 2,826 wheelchairs to disadvantaged people in Quang Ngai province with total funding value 3.6 billion VND. 
Implementing the Cardiovascular and Orthopedic Surgery Program, GIBTK has coordinated with the provincial Children Protection Fund and hospitals to organize screening for congenital heart and motor malformations for children under 18 years old in the province. Through this program, GIBTK sponsored surgery for 171 children with congenital heart disease, with a total cost of 2.5 billion VND.
Besides, GIBTK has sponsored 04 scholarships for students in Quang Ngai province to study at colleges and universities in Da Nang; built some compassion houses for poor households in the province.
Currently, GIBTK is coordinating with the Provincial Children Protection Fund to find cases of mobility impairment to finance surgery; implement the program of donating wheelchairs for people with mobility disabilities and the home program for children in 2021.
Established in 2002, GIBTK has implemented many humanitarian programs in the provinces and cities of Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Kon Tum, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh and Hai Phong. Up to now, GIBTK has sponsored more than 1,300 poor and disadvantaged children in the project areas to receive surgery and cardiovascular intervention.
