Free medical examination and surgery for children with cleft lips and palates

This is the 6th time, the QuangNgai Pediatrics and Obstetrics Hospital  has organized this meaningful humanitarian program with the sponsorship of the Smile Train, Inc.

After organizing examination for 30 children, doctors of QuangNgai Pediatrics and Obstetrics Hospital perform surgery (phase 1) for 9 patients in last days of May. The remaining patients will be examined and operated on phase 2, which will take place in July 2020.

Also on this occasion, experts from National Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology - Ho Chi Minh City will complete the transfer of cleft lip and palate surgery techniques to the doctors at the provincial QuangNgai Pediatrics and Obstetrics Hospital. 

This is one of the efforts of QuangNgai Pediatrics and Obstetrics Hospital with the desire to bring beautiful smiles to the unfortunate children.

Reportedly, Smile Train, Inc. funded a free cleft lip and palate surgery program for disadvantaged patients in the province and neighboring provinces with a total budget of 50,000 USD. QuangNgai Pediatrics and Obstetrics Hospital will organize examination and surgeries for about 200 patients with cleft lips and palates under the professional assistance of doctors of the national hospital of Odonto-Stomatology - Ho Chi Minh City in the period of 2020-2022.
