FFI implements the biodiversity conservation project in Quang Ngai

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just decided to receive the in Quang Ngai funded by Fauna & Flora International (FFI) - Vietnam Program, with a total budget of VND 2.4 billion from 2023 to 2025. 
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Quang Ngai Provincial Forest Protection Department to implement the project in 3 communes Ba Xa, Ba Nam and Ba Le in Ba To district and the surrounding areas of Quang Ngai province.
The project’s objective is to protect the wildlife-rich and high-carbon forests of Ba To district and the vicinity of the central Truong Son region of Vietnam; protect the high biodiversity and essential resources, the ecosystem services provides for future generations.
The project’s main activities include: establish special-use forests in Quang Ngai province; develop data on biodiversity; define the boundaries of the protected area.
To improve management capacity for Forest Management Boards through the application of SMART patrol tools and ensure compliance with social safeguard policies during the establishment of the reserve areas.
