Evaluate and rank 42 OCOP products

On October 27, the Provincial OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council chaired by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien conducted the assessment and classification of OCOP products at the provincial level for the first time, the first phase in 2022 for 42 products of 7 districts, towns and cities. 
Accordingly, 42 products are divided into 4 groups, including: Food (28 products); beverages (3 products); herbs (10 products) and handicrafts and decorations (1 product).
These are the products of 5 enterprises, 8 cooperatives and 10 production facilities and business households from the districts of Tra Bong, Minh Long, Son Tinh, Ly Son, Mo Duc, Duc Pho town and Quang Ngai City.
Out of 42 contested products, 4 products of Tra Bong district were upgraded from 3 stars to 4 stars.
After conducting the inspection and evaluation steps, combined with the results of direct inspection of the production, processing and packaging processes at the facility, the council will select products that meet the standards and quality.
The selected products will be submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and issuance of a decision on recognition and classification of OCOP products at provincial level in 2022.
Up to this point, the whole province has 61 OCOP products at provincial level, of which 57 products are 3 stars and 4 products are 4 stars, built 5 selling points of OCOP products in Mo Duc district, Duc Pho town and Quang Ngai City.
