Environmental protection, food safety and rural clean water supply program

The program of strengthening environmental protection, food safety and rural clean water supply in new rural construction in the 2021-2025 period was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 925/QD-TTg dated August 2. By 2022.

It targets that by 2025, at least 55% of the rural population will have sustainable access to standard clean water, with a minimum quantity of 60 liters/person/day.

40% of the rural population can use clean water from centralized water supply works.

It will ensure household-scale supply of clean water for daily-life activities for households in areas where there is no access to centralized water supply, areas of scarcity, difficulty in water sources, and areas frequently affected by natural disasters, drought, saltwater intrusion...

Rural development program

The rural program in building smart new rural areas for the 2021-2025 period was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 924/QD-TTg dated August 2, 2022.

It strives that 100% of managers at all levels participating in the implementation of the National Target Program on building new rural areas will receive training and capacity building on digital transformation.

At least 70% of communes have cooperatives, 70% of districts have production linkage models associated with the consumption of key agricultural products and 50% of linkage models associated with raw material areas have digital technology applications,...

In Quang Ngai province

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue an implementation plan implementing the Program of strengthening environmental protection, food safety and new rural clean water supply.

It includes 09 main tasks: Rural clean water supply; daily-life solid waste; domestic wastewater; agricultural waste and by-products; packaging of plant protection drugs; environmental protection of craft villages; rural environmental landscape; food safety of agro-forestry-fisheries; sanitation work.

It will invest in a number of clean water supply models in specific areas, areas with scarcity and difficulty in water resources; repair, renovate, upgrade and expand existing centralized clean water supply works; build the market linkage model for the recovery, production and consumption of recycled and reused products from waste; support investment in building from 01-02 domestic waste treatment models at district or inter-district scale, applying appropriate technology, meeting environmental technical regulations;...

Regarding the digital transformation program in building new rural areas, towards a smart new rural area in the 2021-2025 period, three main contents will be focused on: Promoting the building of digital government; promoting the digital economy; developing digital society.
