Approving Outline of survey tasks to prepare projects on population arrangement in areas at high risk of landslides, tube floods and flash floods

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just issued the Decision No. 298/QD-UBND approving the Outline of tasks and the survey estimate for the formulation of projects on population arrangement in areas at high risk of landslides, pipe floods, flash floods in the period 2021-2025. 
It will be carried out in districts: Son Tay, Son Ha, Minh Long, Ba To and Tra Bong.
The purpose of the project is to assess the risk of landslides, tube floods, flash floods of residential areas as a basis for proposing projects to relocate households out of high-risk areas.
It will also carry out assessment of the current situation of life and production of households living in areas at high risk of landslides, tube floods and flash floods in mountainous districts of Quang Ngai province in the period 2015-2020.
It is proposed to set up projects, the ability to balance budget investment in the coming period, in order to have the best implementation plan in population arrangement and arrangement in the period of 2021-2025.
According to the survey and statistics in 05 mountainous districts in 2021, there are 41 communes severely affected by natural disasters, of which 6,726 households are living in the affected areas and 1,962 households need to be relocated urgently.
Therefore, it is very necessary to survey and set up projects on population arrangement and arrangement in areas at high risk of landslides, tube floods and flash floods in the 2021-2025 period.
