616 turns of tourists visit Quang Ngai in 6 months

According to Mr. Dzung – Director of the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, in the first 6 months of 2023, the province welcomed 616,000 tourists, an increase of 92% over the same period last year, reaching 85% of the plan in 2023; including 6,113 international visits, an increase of 62% over the same period last year, reaching 34% of the plan in 2023. 
In the first 6 months, tourism revenue reached VND 485 billion, up 103% over the same period last year, reaching 59% compared to the plan. In which, revenue in foreign currency is US $1,347,000, up 51% over the same period last year and reached 45% of the plan.
In the last 6 months of 2023, the tourism sector will continue to build the Project of to developing Ly Son island district into a center of sea and island tourism by 2030, vision to 2045; advising on developing products, transferring models of community tourism promotion, developing destinations associated with Sa Huynh Cultural Relics and An Khe Lagoon; promoting community tourism, developing destinations in Son My Relics Area.
Besides, continue to implement the plan of the Project "Building a program to locate and develop Quang Ngai tourism brand till 2025, with orientation to 2030" in 2023; Tourism promotion Plan in 2023.
