Quang Ngai has 130 km-seaside road

QuangNgai is a coastal province in Southern Central Viet Nam. The area stretches in the North - South direction for about 100km, and in the East - West direction for more than 60km, corresponding to the geographical coordinates from 14032 to 15025 North latitude and between 108006 'to 109 004' East longitude.

In the North, QuangNgai shares the boundary with Quang Nam for about 60km; with the provinces of Gia Lai, Kon Tum in the West for about 142km along the Truong Son range; with BinhDinh province in the South for 70km and with the East sea for about 130 km with 5 seaports, of which the Dung Quat seaport having the stature of an international port capable of receiving ships of up to 100,000 DWT, cargo ships of 30,000 – 50,000 DWT. QuangNgai is 883 km South of Hanoi capital and 838 km North of Ho Chi Minh City.

QuangNgai has a strategic position in the Key Economic Region of Central Vietnam as well as in the East-West Economic Corridor where transportation by road, rail, sea and air is very convenient.

       1.Road

National Highway 1A; National Highway 24 B linking Quangngai to Central highlands, South Laos, Myanmar and North-East ThaiLand; Dung Quat-Tra Bong-Tra My road; Da nang – QuangNgai Expressway; Dung Quat – Sa Huynh Coastal road.

       2.Waterways

With the depth of 19-21 m, the Dung Quat well-sheltered deep sea-port, which is 90 km away from the international marine route and 30 km from the domestic marine route, is now in operation and can accommodate vessels of up to 100,000 DWT. In addition, there are Sa Ky Port and Ly Son district Island Port which is 30 km from the mainland.

       3.Railways

The North-South Railways runs through the province with 8 small and big stations of which QuangNgai station is the biggest one

 4 Airway

Chu Lai Airport is 35 km to the North of QuangNgai with flights to Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi Capital by Airbus A320 plane.

 

Human Resources

 

-       QuangNgai has qualified human resources with the population over 1.3 million people, 53.8% of which are in the working age. Every year, there are more than 26,000 students graduating from high schools, vocational schools, colleges and universities;

-       There are 3 universities, 6 colleges and vocational schools in QuangNgai. QuangNgai is implementing polices to develop the technical-scientific human resources, high skilled workforce to be available for investment projects.
