Inspecting the implementation of environmental protection measures of Hoa Phat General Port Joint Stock Company

On August 3, the interdisciplinary inspection team established by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment in Decision No. 78/QD-STNMT dated April 27, 2022 conducted an inspection, supervise the implementation of environmental protection measures of Hoa Phat General Port Joint Stock Company. 
According to the Company's report, dumping activities have been carried out since April 20, 2022.
Up to now, the volume of dredging and dumping is 515,397m 3 with 1,513 shipping trips, reaching 33.2% of the dredging plan (licensed dumping volume is 1.6 million m 3).
During the dumping process, Hoa Phat General Port Joint Stock Company installed AIS devices (identification information system for ships), cameras.
They monitored the whole process of transporting dumping materials by software monitoring location, monitoring sea water quality, biodiversity during the process of submersion...
At the inspection, the members of the delegation asked Hoa Phat General Port Joint Stock Company to continue to manage and supervise the process of transportation, dumping and fulfill all responsibilities and obligations assigned to them.
The Provincial People's Committee stipulated in the dumping permit, regularly reported to the authorities as prescribed.
