Strictly control people entering and leaving areas with high risk of forest fires

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien and leaders of departments and localities attended the conference.

At the conference, Deputy Prime Minister, Tran Luu Quang, directed localities to:

Well implement the management and protection of forests, prevent acts of deforestation and illegal exploitation.

Strictly handle violations of the law on deforestation.

Review and adjust fire protection plans in localities to suit the actual situation.  

Instruct forest owners to strictly implement measures on fire prevention and control and develop fire prevention and control plans.

Strengthen the inspection, supervision and strict control of people entering and leaving forests at high-risk fire points.

Temporarily suspend slash-and-burn activities during days with high wildfire risk. 

Proactively and urgently review plans for forest fire prevention and control in the locality. 

Allocate forces, means, supplies and funds for forest fire prevention and control. 

Assign 24-hour response forces during the dry season.

Arrange checkpoints, patrolling and guarding forces in high risk areas of forest fires.

Strictly control people entering and leaving forest areas with high risk of forest fires.  

Promptly detect fire points, mobilize forces to control and extinguish forest fires in the shortest time.

Continue to promote propaganda and education to raise capacity and awareness on forest protection, fire prevention and fighting.

Apply science and technology in forest management, protection and fire preventio as well.
