BSR: 16 years – a glorious journey

Over the past 16 years, Dung Quat Oil Refinery has been considered the heart of Dung Quat Economic Zone, a driving force for socio-economic development of Quang Ngai province and the Central - Central Highlands region.

On February 22, 2009, leaders of the Party and State performed a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome the first commercial product of Dung Quat Refinery.

On January 6, 2011, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group solemnly held the Inauguration Ceremony of Dung Quat Oil Refinery

On December 24, 2014, BSR received the Second Class Labor Medal

 On January 17, 2018, BSR successfully organized the initial public offering of shares with nearly 242 million BSR shares sold to investors.

On June 21, 2018, BSR held the first General Meeting of Shareholders.

BSR has conducted general maintenance of Dung Quat Oil Refinery 5 times in 2011, 2014, 2017, 2020, and 2024.

Research to produce new products for the market and improve production and business efficiency is one of the important tasks of BSR

In 2022, BSR achieved its highest profit ever with 14,669 billion VND.

In 2023, Dung Quat Oil Refinery operated safely and stably with an average capacity of 111% - the highest ever and reached a record of 1,180 days of continuous operation.

As of April 11, 2024, BSR reached 45 million safe working hours with no lost labor accidents.

With efforts and outstanding achievements, BSR has reached the 4th position in the Ranking of 500 enterprises with the largest capitalization in Vietnam in 2023.

Fitch Ratings rated BSR's credit rating for the first time at BB+/Positive with a stable outlook.

BSR has mastered technology, produced high quality products, meeting more than 30% of petroleum needs for the country and spreading corporate culture.

Along with production and business tasks, BSR regularly pays attention to and implements community-oriented social security programs. Since the construction of Dung Quat Oil Refinery until now, BSR has sponsored over 860 billion VND for social security programs.
